Excuse to get a short shifter!

I just hooked up my shifter for my M30 conversion. I had to cut and shorten both the plate and the selector rod, but after putting the shifter rod in there and putting the center console in, realized that everytime i go into reverse, it's going to rub on the console, ie the shift boot and wear it out significantly..... my solution??

since the shifter is sitting center in the console anyway, there is nothing i can do about it.. i can certainly hit all the gears easily,, I'm just gonna get a SSK and that would solve all of it, not to mention i'm gonna have a tight shifter! can't wait!

Just keep in mind that even the shortest of shifters still have more or less the same lateral movement. So don't forget to replace the bushings/linkage etc or whatever it is that wears out causing shift slop.

Yeah, i'm going to need not only the part numbers, but also where i can buy those parts ...using those part numbers. I saw a thread that covered ALL of this previously, I wonder if those part numbers will work for my application..

I'll have to look into it more...
