I asked on the FB group and didnt get much help so i figured i ask here too
So i'm restoring a e30m3 which had snapped driveshaft and missing shifter linkage, once i was able to buy both of those i realized that the shifting rod is stuck and wont go in or out
I tried gently pushing it in but that didnt help
I tried letting the car on the ground and rocking it back and forth while working the shifter so maybe it will pop out of gear but that didnt help too.
This weekend i was planing on dropping the tranny and inspecting it so i was wondering if anyone has ever had issues with getrags being stuck in gear and possibly how to fix it.
I do understand that rebuilding the tranny would be the best solution, but wanted to ask before i do anything further.
