GETRAG 265 stuck selector rod

basically i'm trying to see if anyone has ever replaced the 8mm balls inside those holes?
It seems like that why my selector rod is stuck and wont pop out of gear.

I have not, but I do have a 265 on the shelf that's going to need some TLC. Do you have more pics of your tear down?
