    87 Eta flywheel with Clutch for 86 eta/87+ 325i?

So being the stupid 17 y/o noobie i am, i order this stage 2 clutch from amazon for my 1987 325e
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and after ordering it and trying to fit it on,
i notice the new (blue) pressure plate bolt holes dont line up.
and it doesnt have holes for those rods sticking out of the flywheel.

Going back i see the specs say this:

    Vehicle Application
    1984 - 4/1986 BMW 325; 325e; 325es (2.7L SOHC 6cyl M20B27; E30)
    1987 - 1991 BMW 325i, 325is, 325ix (2.5L SOHC 6cyl E30)
    1987 - 1993 BMW 325i convertible (2.5L SOHC 6cyl M20B25; E30)
    1985 - 12/1985 BMW 524td Base Sedan (2.4L SOHC 6cyl Turbo Diesel, E28 )
    2/1988 - 1990 BMW 525i Base Sedan (2.5L SOHC 6cyl M20, E34)
    1982 - 4/1986 BMW 528e (2.7L SOHC 6cyl, E28 )

I believe my 30 has a dual mass flywheel. not a pro but it has two pieces... :stupid:

So question, can i use the old pressure plate, with the new stage 2 clutch, pilot bearing and throwout bearing (the only original part that was broken)
or do i have to get a new 325i flywheel?

I read something how people were saying the Flywheel and Clutch has to be the same.

My dad was also saying we could just try to re-drill all the holes cause he's against flywheel removal (poor experience).

Also since this is my second car and gonna be more a racer, i was thinking about a getting lighter flywheel so would a 325i flywheel be ideal?

Would a "I" flywheel fit on the 2.7 eta DOCH m20, including the starter teeth lining up. (as far as i know that is the engine i got) (if thats not it, how can i check, vin? marking somewhere on the engine?)

Anyone know what i should do?
And correct me and enlighten me on anything i say cause this is my first personal car and car to learn from and i know nothing

Here is a poor pic of my flywheel, also would it need to be resurfaced?

The new Pressure plate on top of the old one. The holes dont line up. (I put bolts in the holes so ya.)

The old pressure plate has (center dirty) holes for those rods sticking out of the flywheel

New Pressure plate doesnt have those holes and it rubs on the inside.

At the risk for being "that" r3v member for pointing out small details and assuming you meant DOHC, the eta and all m20s are single cam. You can tell which m20 it is by the intake manifold but the easy give away for me is the cold start injector located on the exhaust side of the intake mani. Im not much help to your actual problem but just consider this a bump for your post.

you just have to make sure the start matches the flywheel. I'll be using a e36 flywheel clutch combo and an m50 starter on my m20.

I beleive that all m20 flywheels are the same, but some were single mass, some dual.
