    Keep popping slave cylinders...

So this is the 2nd time in 700 miles I have burst a slave cylinder. I can't figure out why. I'll try to post some pictures, but The piston is pushed out the front of the cylinder, the shaft is burst out.

I do have a different transmission in for the last 700 miles, but of course I don't see how that could make a difference. The housing is a slightly different casting but I'm not sure if that matters. My car is an 89 and I have no idea what year the transmission was or now is. Someone did a manual swap long before it was my car.

If a long bellhousing G260 (the 325e dual mass flywheel sort) was used without a thicker throw out bearing it could possibly pop it like that. Fork could be bent and pivot pin could be worn to shit as well.

Currently have the "late" eta trans, where before i had the "i" trans. So throw out bearing should be compatible.

Hrmm but it has the small output shaft. I guess I'll drop it and measure the slave cylinder mount.

Well the bell housing was longer so I put the longer throw out bearing in. If this does not fix it I'll report back but otherwise I'd say problem solved.
