Late model shafts in Early model

    Hey,

I can't seem to find a solid answer. I know the pre 85 build cars have smaller wheel bearing diameters. But will a late model non-abs shaft fit into a early model trailing arm?

I heard the trailing arm diameter is smaller which I can't find answer about the axle actually fitting?

ETK says for all 325e's non ABS it's - 33211226333

And up till 85, it says the trailing arm is a 88mm and after 85 its 91mm. Has anyone used earlier trailing arms with later shafts? I snapped an axle and can't find a early model replacement, but can find plenty of late models. I was actually looking at the 4340 CAtuned axles.

    Thanks,

    Sam.

Yes the later axles will fit the earlier hubs.

I ended up getting a late model non-abs shaft and it went right in.

Now I'm afraid to put my drag radials on lol... I might grab some extra shafts and keep them in the trunk.
