E36 Cover on E30 Medium Case Diff

Hi guys, can someone confirm if the e36 188mm diff cover will bolt on to the e30 188mm diff housing? does the speed sensor line up correctly?

    Thanks

Which speed sensor are you using?

    Which speedo reluctor ring?

Plenty of people do this on z3's to mount double ear units. But honestly in a e30 the single ear unit is ok untill 400rwhp or so if you have a z3m cover; it's stronger.

The E36 uses a smaller diameter VSS wheel. Such a conversion *should* use the E36 wheel, sensor and cover.

I have a 3.64 viscous diff from a 325iX with E36 rear cover. The viscous diff uses a different diameter to mount the trigger wheel than the conventional diffs, so only the viscous diff wheel will fit. I had to cut the teeth down to fit the cover and sensor.
