Urethane Trans Mounts - Where to buy / Which ones?

My transmission rear main seal is leaking. I'm going to replace it and while I'm down there I figured that I may as well get some poly trans mounts.

The only ones I know of are by Ireland Engineering and UUC.

Does anyone have experience with the UUC mounts on this page? Specifically, I am stuck deciding between the black "Option 1" mounts and the red "Option 2" mounts, but leaning toward the red urethane ones. I don't want them to cause huge amounts of noise and vibration, but I want shifting to be noticably improved and clean. They look very similar to these mounts by IE and are the same price.

    What do you all think?

dont look to be urethane, but bimmerworld sells "upgraded transmission mounts"

no idea if they're any good. I was going to point you to Rogue Engineering but they dont list the e30 in their application list.

does the UUC one work for the e30? Doesn't seem to be listed in their application list either. Just get IE's.

i tried the set from AKG motorsports with both the engine and tranny. WAY too stiff for daily driving. The shifting was awesome, but way too much nvh. If you are going to use your car for daily driving, just stick with the stock rubber ones.

Yeah the UUC only mentions that the "Enforcers" available for the black bushings don't work with the e30 cars. They don't say much about what will go with what except for the last of cars that the "race" bushings work with.

I could always call them, but that is just a hastle.

I'm pretty sure their "enforcers" just go around the 320i tranny mounts. All it requires is enlarging the holes and getting some different nuts, the 320 moutns fit right up.

320i mounts are a little shorter than e30 funny shaped tranny mounts, but the UUC TMEs shim them right up.

IE motor mounts and stock trans mounts for clean shifts without harshness, IE trans mounts for more precise shifts with noticeable more harshness

                Keep it slideways!!
