Clutch releases too early, possible pre-load on slave???

I just swapped a 5speed into this new '89 325i that i purchased a few weeks ago, and i swapped in the tranny from my other '89 this past week.

The problem i'm having is the pressure plate seems to have a pre-load on it somehow, causing the clutch to disengage really early in the pedal stroke. This is the same clutch/pressure plate/flywheel/tranny, and everything from my other car which operated completely normal before the stuff was removed.....clutch grabbed really quickly after the pedal came off my clutch stop, and it used to be all good.

Now...the part that was strange, was when i was bleeding the slave by pushing the air bubbles back into the resevoir by pushing in the piston....it almost seemed like the clutch pedal was being pushed down slightly, making it very difficult to push the rod into the slave. I remember on past clutch jobs, the slave rod wasn't pushed out so far/hard, and was much easier to install in the side of the tranny (on this recent install, i had to push the slave on the side of the tranny really hard) I can't seem to find a clutch master adjustment...and it was installed using the same pedals from the donor car, and everything seemed to align perfectly. I'm sure it has to do with a pedal adjustment...i'm just not sure how to make that.

Any troubleshooting advice, or fixes would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think there IS any pedal adjustment. Put some air back in the system. lol

yeah....i'm an idiot. I realized before i probably had lots of air in the clutch line which made the pedal act completely different. I'm used to the new pedal feel, so it's all good.

yeah there is. You can rotate the eccentric bolt that connects the pedal to the master cylinder to adjust the pedal height.
