    Weird mess.

    Got underneath the car today, and noticed a very weird mess.

    On my passenger side, there was like a splatter of what looked to be a greasy oozy stuff flipped all around the circumference of my half-shaft. Got on the subframe, buttom of the car, brake line...etc. All in line. Like someone put shit on there, and it flipped off when it spun. Maybe just some buildup? My fluid is clean - so if it were fluid, I'd be able to tell.

      Are you AWD? Makes me think a cv boot got fucked. What color is this stuff?

          Nope, just an 327is.

          Checked the boot - it's fine.

          It's on the part of the halfshaft where it mounts to the diff - that wide section where it looks like there 4 pieces of metal sandwiched together.

              Sounds like you are losing grease from the inner CV Joint. Check the boot and joint to see where the source of the leak is.
