I was under my 86 ES today and happened to noticed it appears to have no guibo installed ,I found a comment when I did some research that some cars never had a guibo installed ,is this true?

I have done some more research ,there are apparently a number of early 85 thru 87 automatic e30 cars that never had either the large or small guibo installed,a typical universal joint is installed instead,this is both a relief and interesting to me as I was expecting a difficult time trying to determine if my 5/86 car came with a small guibo or the large one ,now I do not expect I will have to change anything ,I hope this is a comfort to Steve ,but he may have already known this before .Comment
