    Driveshaft rubbing

I recently refurbished the front and rear subframes, motor/transmission mounts and installed a new driveshaft. The driveshaft rubs just a bit (see picture). OEM rubber bushings were used on the subframes. I used OEM motor mounts with the Turner cups and E21 transmission mounts with the cups. I am guessing this may increase the driveline height 2mm. Looking for a solution to lower the driveshaft. I was thinking of dropping the differential and adding a couple of washers under the mounting bolts or maybe the subframe. I am hoping that someone has had this problem. Thanks for the help.

There was a recent discussion on this on an e30 M3 forum. People were using alternate motor mounts and had to shim their transmission mounts down to keep from having odd angles at the guibo. There is a BMW part number for a thick washer but you can probably get some from Mcmaster.com
Is the rub location where the driveshaft goes through the rear crossmember?
