Where to buy top section of shift lever?

    Where to buy top section of shift lever?

    Hey all,

    Does anyone know where I can buy the top part of the e30 shift lever? Not the bottom section tthat sits in the cup bushing and attaches to the selector rod, but the thick top part that holds the shift knob. I own a new lower section but don't have an upper to attach it to.

    No, RealOEM didn't help.

    CAN'T FIND ONE ANYWHERE!

      Appears to me that only the old (pre-86?) style lever is 2 part. Listed in BMWfans that way.

          Wow, didn't know that!!! The assembly of the two halves looks nightmarish, there's like 20 pieces involved.

          So I bought a late model lever instead. Thanks for your help!!!
