Are anti-lock brake axles interchangeable with non anti-lock brakes

I'm looking to replace my axles and it seems most of the places stock anti-lock brake axles. Will they fit in my non anti-lock brake car?

I installed new boots and the bearing races looked pretty worn also seemed to have a lot of slop.

I'm not 100% sure but I think the only difference is the ABS axles have a reluctor ring pressed on. The ring can be removed if not wanted with a chisel.

      what year do you have?
the axles on 84-86 cars are different than the ones on 87+.
early cars didn't have an abs option.
they have a different flange on the output side.
early and late axles aren't interchangeable.
if you have a later car, you can just knock the ring off.
or leave it on. i think it doesn't make a difference?

if you have an early car, good luck finding decent axles. i've got an 85 and am looking for some. proving to be difficult.
