Hey. I was putting things back together today. Got the differential locked in, put some wiring and coolant lines in, decided to put the driveshaft up.
Everything SEEMED to be going well until I went to put the CSB up. The bolt holes don't line up.
The question is this. The driveshaft is from an early (pre-87) manual car.
The car is a late (91) 325i that was originally an auto.
So I guess my question is...why won't my existing (new) CSB work in this car? Is it because they changed the bodies, or because the mounting points are different from Auto to Manual?
If it's the former, I guess I can just order a CSB from a late model car and put that on the driveshaft. If it's the later, can I put an Auto CSB on the manual driveshaft?
Thanks.
