e34 g260/6

Good Morning all,

I'm moving forward with my tranny swap from auto to 5 speed in my 1990 e30 sedan and have a chance to grab a g260 from an e34. I have read that it will work and also read it will not. since this forum seems to be the ultimate resource can someone confirm I'll be good to go with this one?

Believe the 260/6 is off the M30, so would have a different bolt pattern than an M20.
