325i Manual Cabriolet - Wrong Driveshaft?

I finally got to working on my driveshaft today and noticed that it doesn't look like any others I've seen. I forgot to take a picture, but the guibo I bought for the manual transmission was about an inch too big in diameter. The driveshaft also has a large wheel around the end with the guibo, and the bolts holding the giubo onto the shaft are fixed in place.

Does anyone know where this shaft may be from, and does anyone know if it'll work with the additional strain from a manual transmission without tearing up my new giubo?

I can add a picture tomorrow.

*Edit* I'm an idiot, that big wheel on the end is the torsional absorber. I don't know why my car has it and so many of them don't. I'm leaving it on for now I guess. The correct size guibo is being overnighted to me so I should have it back on soon.
