I just swapped my 4.10 LSD to a 3.73 LSD a few weeks back. My mileage increased by about 2 MPG, and there is a slight decrease in acceleration. But then again with the automatic the acceleration was not all that good to begin with.

running 4.10 LSD in a slushbox equiped cabbie. If it weren't for the 4.10's this car would feel like a total slouch, with the auto and the added weight of the cabbie. I get about 23-24 MPG with mixed driving, and it just got 28-30 MPG on a road trip to NC from KY... We'll see what happens when I swap in the 5 speed...:D

btw, what did the 4.27 come out of?
The 4.27 was stock in my car (316I) There was an M20 swap done to it before I owned it and they never changed the rear end in it. How much would it cost for a quaife locker?
