Nope, but let me tell you what I plan.

I was talking to the guy from AKGmotorsports. He said if I pull my entire shifter out, he will build me his custom kit for $125. In his bizarre Greek accent he said I would love it.

Considering how impressed I am with the CAB's I have, I am gonna try it.

I thought you can order everything from BMA for like $75?
That's whats always been in the back of my mind for when I get a SSK, I'm just lazy and waiting to do a clutch and everything all at once.

That's using an OEM shifter from another BMW and new bushings normally. IE/Rogue Engineering/UUC/ETC normally have a weighted collar or something else in their "kits".

The guys at Pelican Parts favor the UUC shifter, but also highly recommend the AutoSolutions kit.

There was an article in GRM last year comparing BMW SSK's. I'll see if I can find the issue. I do remember that UUC won (of course), but they did a sort of cost/benefit analyisis on it.

I have the UUC shifter and have driven a car with an M Roadster shifter. The UUC is nice for a SSK for a daily (shorter, but not very notchie). The M Roadster is much shorter and notchier.

I have an Autosolutions Race shifter in my Spec E30 and I love it. The throw is only a bit less than the stock shifter, but it is incredibly precise. That shifter is probably a bit too pricey for a street car (~$450), but their street SSK's are close to that feel.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
