    e i e i oh? (tranny swap Q)

i'm looking at a parts car, it's an E and I have an I. I want the 5 spd out of it. Is the only difference between an E manual and an I manual the flywheel?
    thanks!!

As far as I know the only difference between the two is the presence of the crank position sensor in the bellhousing on the Eta's. You don't need that with an M20B25 motor and you can toss it.

Just make sure to get all the other bits and pieces needed for the swap from the donor.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

OK, should have clarified...is the I flywheel more desirable than the E?

Another story is that the bellhousing on the 'e' is longer I THINK. I'm not really sure though so the best way to do is just to check the length yourself with a tape measure or set them side by side.
