    hissing from rear end

There is a hissing noise coming from the rear of my car. At low speeds, around 30-50 km/h, its an intermittent noise, sort of a "ssss....ssss....ssss...".

At highway speeds it a constant hiss from the rear. Changes pitch with speed.

What can this be? wheel bearings? csb? diff?

    thanks

heheh... no kitty cats were hurt.

But I wish I'd hit my neighbor's dog. Stupid dog turds in my backyard... It would be worth a broken valence.

wild uninformed guess, leak at fuel hose to fuel pump? smell gas? exhuast leak at muffler?

while I'm making wild guesses: leaking spare tire?

really, check your vacuum hoses. You can use an old piece of vacuum line as a stethoscope to check for leaks.
