give me some trans removal tricks, all i have left to come out are the 4? torx head bolts that hold it to the engine, how in jesus christ superstar's name am i supposed to get those bastards off?

Once you have the driveshaft and all shift linkage removed, you can lower the tranny down a little to gain better access to those top bolts.
You will need that torx socket, a u-joint, and a 3 foot extension. You should have a direct shot at it if you go from the back (over the entire tranny).

It's also helpful on your hands to remove the drivers side engine mount. When you let that side down both the engine and tranny will come down a bit more and give you better access to those top bolts. I also removed the rubber insulation, which is about a 1/4" thick... Good luck. It's a lot of grunting and shoving, but it's not brain surgery...Comment
