Should I sell or keep for parts

Hey everyone, want to get some input. New to the e30s. Some of you will know me from the parts ive been picking up.
Last month I bought a 1988 325e 5speed. Clean body with 180k. The plan was to use it in the winter, track in the spring/summer. As i started looking into fixing up a few parts, I quickly realized I really want the 325is. So last week i picked up a 1989 325is auto. Its even in better shape with receipts. Now the plan is drop a 5 speed in it.
I bought the 325e for 1500 and put 300 into it. Do I sell it or keep it for parts? Reading the boards the price of parts for the conversion is somewhere around 900-1200. Im thinking i would get at least another 500 for other parts. Or do i just drop the price(currently on cl for 1599) and look for the 5speed down the road?
Let me have it what do you think?

Im posting in this section since the major topic is the transmission if a better place please let me know.

I think you are right in selling it. To do a 5 spd swap is only like 300-600, that is, if you do it yourself. Parts are not impossible to track down. Parts cars are very nice to have but they arent worth it if you have to rape a nice $1250+ car.
