ok heres the question.. i have a new clutch for the m42 i had but i crashed it before i could install it so i was wondering if itll fit the m20 with the m20 flywheel. diameters?? someone help me save money.

It's most likely a solid disc with no springs - for use with a dual mass flywheel. If so it won't work even if it's the same size, etc.

      something to think about:
then what about a solid disc w/out springs that are sold aftermarket for an i flywheel/tranny setup?

I had a single mass lightweight flywheel with an unsprung clutch disk in my e46. as long as it fits, it should be good. Some will argue that the lack of dampening in the clutch assy can cause problems, but most will disagree. The clutch engages nicer, too
