    E30 Diff's

    Does anybody have a list of what models in E30 have for diff ratio's or what diff's BMW used in the E30's? I have an 86 ES automatic that I think has a 3.64 but I could swear the 6 is a 5. So I am looking for a list of what diff's BMW used.

      If you poke around in http://www.realoem.com you can see what ratio diffs were used in E30's and in particular what your car should have in it.
      The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

          An 86 es should have the 2.93 diff. One way to see what diff you have is to go onto diffsonline.com and use their diff/speed calculator. Get some MPH/RPM/gear readings and try to find a combo that matches your readings in the car.
