    Flywheel and Clutch Install

Whats the verdict on replacing the 6 bolts attaching the pressure plate and 8 bolts attaching the flywheel? Why cant these be reused if installed with red loctite?

Reason, bentley suggest to replace them however every other clutch job I done on non BMWs I have reused the bolts.

No flaming please... I dont mind buying the bolts but would like to hear the reason, theory behind the need to replace...

ARe these a yield install like the head bolts or is it just a safety precaution given the high load transmitted?

The book says it's because they're stretch bolts but honestly.. I reused my old ones with blue loctite and torqued them to spec. Never caused me any problems.
