    Driveshaft problem

    Hey all,
I was replacing my stock diff with a 3.46 lsd diff and when I was removing it the driveshaft bolts were undone from the input flange on the diff but when I took the diff out the driveshaft came out with it. It was just like a slip joint with a splined inner-part. Did I break something? Or does the shaft actually separate like that?

That's normal. Just make sure to re-align the marks on the driveshaft halves when you re-assemble everything. There should be a paint mark on each part.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

there is a splined section on the front of the rear half that goes into the front half of the shaft. it just slides in/out.
