Help me determine, clutch master or slave?

    Sooo, I've been having problems.

Driving one day, the clutch goes out. I replace the slave, and nothing happens, so we drop the tranny, and theres a shit load of wrong in there. Basically, we replace the release fork, throw out bearing, pilot bearing, and pivot pin.

Putting it all back together, with the same replacement slave, we try bleeding it, and nothing happens.

Turns out the clutch master's rod was broken off, so we replace the clutch master.

We bleed the system, and it drives perfect. I manage to drive about 70 miles, and the pedal falls to the floor again.

So I get under the car, take the slave out, push the slave rod in (into the slave) and play with it a little, push in and let it come out, push in, let it come out. After a little bit, I put it back on the tranny. It works good again, but before I take teh car off the jackstands, I sit there and just keep pushing on the clutch pedal.

It's sinking back to the floor again, everytime I step on the pedal, it doesn't return to it's original height. This time around, there is a very loud squeaking sound everytime I step on the pedal. And now, the pedal is back on the floor, so it's back to step one.

Is the clutch slave cylinder defective? Or is the master cylinder not delivering enough fluid to the slave?

If the pedal is sinking to the floor either there's a leak at the slave or in the line or the master cylinder is bad. If you can'r find any leaks replace the master cylinder.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Yea odds are good with the pedal falling to the floor then it's a leak dealing with the slave. I would check that and see what you find out.

Using clutch fluid? slaves usually use fluid when they fail.
Whereas when my master went the fluid simply bypassed the seals and went back up into the reservoir.

Also, don't rule out that it could be the pressure plate.

yea but you would be able to tell if it was the pressure plate if thats bad you will get a lot of slipping and what not and the pedal will not fall to the floor if it's only the pressure plate.
