Cant get the pilot bearing out!!!

    Cant get the pilot bearing out!!!

    Im in the middle of a clutch job and i cant get teh pilot bearing out to replace it. Its a 90 325i. Any suggestions?

    They sell pullers for this. They have one at Harbor Freight for like 10-15 bucks.

      If you can destroy it, you can get a shaft that is the exact size of the center of the pilot bearing, and pack grease behind the bearing, and hammer the shaft in. The hydraulic action will force it out. Thats how i did mine.

        umm yea i just destroyed it. I ripped the face off and ball bearings flew everywhere. new one went in quite nicely
