The clutch pedal in my '86 325es comes up too far. The top inch or two of movement has almost no resistance, like a really light spring is pushing it up, and then after that, it acts normally. The clutch feels fine and was just replaced last november.
I tried adjusting the pedal with the master cylinder bolt, but it doesn't help. I also tried adjusting the centering spring, but that didn't help. It bent the clutch switch bracket, and hits the knee bolster when it's all the way up.
Any ideas?
