Do all stock ETAs suck as much as mine?

i just went out to do a 0-60 run(which i knew would be disappointing) and to see how far each gear went, 1st:15MPH 2nd:35MPH 3rd:55mph 4th:65 maybe? would swapping in a different differential help me out any? cause the results i found were ridiculous. when i did the 0-60 i just counted myself which im sure is very inacurate but i cam up with about 13 seconds.?

    anyone?

I have two eta's and they do put you to sleep. My 85 has a 3.73lsd under it and has a long tube header with free flowing exhaust. It's not too bad i guess??? But when i got another on i took it for a drive and i was like WOW "this is slow".... It's stock with a 2.93lsd in it. And both are 5speeds.

I think your right cause i just plugged in the stock ratio's on a calculater and a stock eta should go 30 or 31 in first. Can anyone else back up that their eta does 30 in first?

I seen your WTB ad and didn't want to clutter it up. What gearing is in the car now?

                  -I had a 4.10 in a '88 s-eta (5300 stock redline). It topped out at 110 before I did the whole 2.7i thing.

                  -I wrecked it tho. Too bad. :( A gutted (2500lbs) 2.7i with a 4.10lsd is pretty quick.

-You need an '88 engine to do the "2.7i stuff".
-And No, cuz the speedo is run from the diff itself.

My eta had a 4.10s in it that i never knew of.

would pull off the line with a vengeance.

Yeah, i wasn't gonna put on an i head, just the "i" cam and valvesprings.

Tonight i just found another surprise with my car, i recently swapped in a 7K tack and tonight was the first time i had done any rain sliding since, well i the tires started spinning and i reved to 6000+ rpm, shouldn't there be rev limiter?why is it gone? Im starting to wonder about the previous owners? is that easy to remove the rev limiter? could someone accidently do it? could i have a i or is ECU?

If all you did is put in the 7K tach without swapping out the coding plug, then the tach is reading inaccurately, hence your problem.

If you did swap the coding plug and it IS reading accurately, a performance chip would raise the rev limiter. But it sounds like you didn't swap in the coding plug given the fact you can only do 15mph at an indicated redline.
