So I decided to save a little money and change out the trans and diff fluids myself. I got the 17mm allen and a 10mm allen socket. Got the car up at all 4 corners and went to undo fill plugs first (derr) and I can't get to either of them. The socket for the diff is too long for the 3/8 ratchet to fit (spare tire well), so I went out and bought a swivel adapter. That makes for a crappy angle that I can't torque on. So I moved up front to do the trans and the only way I can seem to seat the 17mm allen has the long part right up next to the trans and me pushing up. I tried slipping a wrench around the allen, but can't get a good angle because the exhaust is in the way. So WTF. What do you guys do because I feel like an uber-noob and I'm also angry because I'm dirty and couldn't even put in my new sway bar bushings because the driver's side bolt is stripped. So I spent 3 hours and got nothing accomplished. End rant.

Is it an allen head hole? here's the "hope sears will replace it" method.
Take regular allen wrench (L-shape), put little end in hole. Take 12" 3/8" extension for ratchet, place deep 10mm or so socket on end, put long end of allen key in open end of socket, and turn. Wear safety glasses. Highly likely you'll break the allen key.
