    Opinions on CSBs?

    Yo.

Is one brand of center support bearing better than another? Mine took a shit, but Mac has a Timkin waiting for me...I am gonna put it in unless someone tells me they are absolute shite.

Should I count on doing a new guibo at the same time? Both guibo and CSB are about 3 years old, but only have about 10K on them.

Having a guibo & CSB fail after only three years is likely due to binding u-joints in the driveshaft. When you get the driveshaft out check to see if that's the case. If it is a new or reman driveshaft is indicated, else you'll be replacing the CSB & guibo again pretty soon.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Do those at the same time or you'll be going back there in the future. Get a quality Guibo, and CSB. FEBI is also a good brand. Check the center bearing at the end of the drive shaft too.

As in the tranny output bearing, or the diff input? I planned on checking both, plus the u-joints when it is out.

If it is crapped out (any of the above) I will put it back together adn thrash the hell out of it since I expect to do a E36 Getrag on the 24V....if and when it happens.
