what clip is referred to as the bitch clip?

i replaced my shifter with a short throw one, the bushing is compeltely gone and replaced with that billet cup type thing. Needless to say the clip holding the selector rod was easy but the round cup was a PITA. It said you can use two screw drivers....right... I was hammering the thing and it wouldnt come free so i ended up using the dremel and drilling the thing out :) Are they that much of PITA? And is that bushing the one called the bitch clip? It was a pretty straightfoward job, jacking up the car and putting it back down is just time consuming, but the cup was the deal breaker on making it an easy job.

No, you did not come in contact with the bitch clip. It is the rod/clip that holds the aluminum shifter carrier to the transmission.

Jordan, didn't you replace said clip with a bolt and nut? Did that hold up long term? I assume you used a nyloc nut or loctite, but man that sounds so much easier.

yeah you never saw the "b-clip" I had to drop the tranny a bit to completely get access to mine and even then it was a 'b" to remove.
