    noise in 4/5th

hey guys i bottomed out the other day didnt do any damage to the sump etc but ever since i have gotten a noise in 4th and 5th. It only happens in 4th when i push the shifter to the right and when im shifting from 4th to 5th. I think its the balancer on the driveshaft rubbing the shifter linkage after i checkd the clearence. Any ideas how to fix it?

How to fix it is dependent on what's actually wrong. And you won't know that until you get the car up in the air where you can see what's been damaged.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Do you have a problem shifting into reverse and 1st gear?
I have the similar problem like yours.

no its only when its moving and its 4th and 5th i jacked it up and it seems the shifter linkage is rubbing against the harmonic balancer aka the big ring on the driveshaft just after the gearbox any ideas on how to fix it?

That would suggest to me that something may have bent when the car bottomed out. I'd suggest taking a critical look at the transmission support, front cross member, and motor/trans mounts.

yeah i had a look and it seems the shifter linkage is rubbing against the balancer on the driveshaft when it is in 4th or going to 5th marked in red is where it makes the sound
