    How to remove PIN off the shifter rod?

    How to remove the pin off the selector-rod?
    Its really hard to get it off, the tranny is lowered down.
    Is there any special tool or tricks ?

    I'm pretty sure you don't take that off. There is a "C" clip on one side.

      The pins are affixed to the link rod and can't be removed. To remove the link rod remove the "E" clips at both ends (shifter and transmission) and slide the link rod out of the bushings.
      The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

        I got it removed when the tranny was on the ground.
        Now, i need to re-do the shift linkage, coz somehow i got it backward.
        I just need to know if its possible to reach & remove that selector-rod pin, w/o taking the tranny out.

          There are two parts that you could be talking about and I'm not sure which is the part of interest. Either part can be installed backwards.

          One part is the link rod that connects the shift lever to the transmission. It isn't too difficult to remove and reinstall with the transmission in the car. The other part is the bushing holder that mounts to the transmission selector rod. That one is a bit more difficult, but can be removed. To get enough room to work it may be necessary to remove the transmission support and allow the rear of the transmission to sag down. Dropping the exhaust and driveshaft isn't a lot of work and results in better access.

          Hopefully you simply have the link rod on the wrong side, which will cause it to hit the inner bolt on the rear of the transmission when trying to engage 2nd & 4th. That's an easy fix.

            2nd & 4th are great, BUT...
            NO 1st, 3rd, 5th, reverse :(
            (Feels like it goes 75% in when i shift, and hits the center dash console or also hits sumthin under the console )

            now, i dont know what to do :(
