Poly Diff bushings? How about driving a 4.10?

Ok, So who runs a 4.10? Feedback on your overall feelings of this gearing with a G260?

And how about a poly differential bushing? What noticeable difference do you see when swapping this in?

I love the 4.10 in an M20 5-spd car .

Actually I'm currently dailying this exact set-up , you are welcomed to drive/test it yourself .

Never installed a poly diff mount but would imagine it would transmit lots of NVH into the cabin ...especially on a street car .

Teaguer, what rpm are you hitting at high 60-70? Been contemplating adding a 4.10 when I do the rear wheel bearing and axles nxt spring.

I have a 4.10 in my autocross/track car, it makes a nice, most obvious difference in acceleration. Great upgrade, but I would think twice for dd car if you drive highway miles.

I try to drive my 4.10 car at no more than 70mph going to and from events just for the sake of reducing engine wear. It's around 3600 rpm at that speed I believe.

Something like that, it just depends on you really, but it is probably the best "bolt-on" type mod you can do for acceleration. But you do put more wear on your motor, so as a daily driver that see's lots of highway miles I might not do it.

4.10 sucks for a daily driver. The noise level gets really anoying on the freeway and fuel economy suffers. I swapped out the existing 4.10 LSD in my 318 for a 3.64 open diff. Its more enjoyable to drive in the local canyons in second instead of constantly swapping between 2nd and 3rd, and its actually quicker to 60 because I can avoid the 2-3 shift.
