    something different

ok so im just throwing this out here. i came across this 1989 325i. its auto and it needs engine work, but it does run for $500. and im stuck with my 325 thats manuel. so what im thinking that i can buy this 325i fix what its got wrong on the engine and then swap my transmissions. the manuel swap to the 325i using the 325's transmission and the other parts needed for the swap and then swaping in the 325i's automatic and other automatic transmission parts into the 325.

would this workout? im just thinking right now

You'll have to swap the center suport bearings between the two driveshafts .

Also thats a lot of work if you want to install the auto back into the Eta .
