Need some shims for the OBX limited slip diff install...

Anyone has some of the shims used to set the side play? I have a 1.84 and a 1.36 and they are too thick; the diff won't turn when everything is tightened down...any suggestions would be helpful.

BMW still has them, I think. Not specific to the OBX.

I'd hoped I wouldn't have to buy the whole shim kit if somone had some of the thinner ones they didn't need...

How about you use no shims, then measure it correctly, and order the shims you need.

Shims only come in packs of 10, from 1.46 to 1.68 and also some thicker ones, with 2 of each thickness...ordered the thinner pack took it to the shop today. should have it back tomorrow for install...

OK it looks like the OBX unit is NOT going to fit. Even with the shim pack the shop can't get the pinion/gear set up properly. Seems the carrier isn't the correct thickness to allow the gear contact patch to be within specs.

It figures, this is the last thing to do to get the car on the road...any suggestions from those who have installed this unit?
