Driveline vibration, rear of car,40-50 MPH

I'm noticing a slight reverberation through the car around those speeds. It seems to be emanating from the rear of the car. It could be happening at different speeds, but around 45 it's the most noticeable.

87 325e, manual. The guibo is in perfect shape but i cant see the CSB as this POS has heat shielding for the exhaust running the length of the car. My first thoughts are possible wheel balance issues, but both of them have their weights still.

An out of balance wheel is a likely candidate. Having the wheels balance should be the first action. If that doesn't help you can move on the the drive shaft and CSB. Also take a look at the differential bushing.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

definitely CSB, I had that in my 325e for a good month before I decided passengers were getting too scared. I got to put in a new diff though so now I can scare them more in sliding conditions with my lsd:up:
