    My car is F-ed up

i just put a new clutch in my 86 325e and put a new slave cylinder and a shit load of other parts and yet it still isnt engaging properly...i bled the clutch again and again and it still seams to have no back preasure, and there is no leak coming from my master cylinder so that is why i dont think its that, but i can only push the clutch in maybe two inches and then it gets really stiff!....can anyone please help me out, i have been working on this car for two months and i need it road ready this week! Thanks

Its possible that you may have installed an incorrect throw-out bearing ....or maybe the clutch disc is backwards .

If the pedal gets stiff thenj its definitely not a leak or insufficient bleeding .
Sounds more mechanical to me .

Did you put a clutch from a single mass car onto a dual mass flywheel?

i didnt mean to affend anyone i am just very frustrated with this car....this is the clutch kit that i bought for it and it was the same one that came out of the car http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/de...3-1599809.html....also in this pic of the clutch kit, if you look at the throw out bearing, well that is how i put it in with the release lever resting between those two tabs

The throw out just sits in there, there is no attachment to the lever arm.

before you take it all apart look at the spring on the clutch pedal!!!

this is what happened to me the spring was in the wrong place and wouldn't let the master get depressed enough to release the clutch!

just play around with the spring under the pedal and try it again

Just because it isn't leaking, you can't eliminate the master cylinder as a cause of the problem. Failed seals in the master won't allow it to generate pressure and it may not leak.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
