    Taking out diff.

The diff in my wrecked 325is looks like a bitch to get out, is it really?

      19mm, T40 or T45 torx socket, and a 17mm end wrench. Piece O cake

if its a rear end wreck, it might be harder than usual

diffs are easy to take out and just a little bit harder to get back in

Do yourself a favor and clean up the treads of bolts holding the diff to the rear subframe and chase the threads in the diff itself. It will go back together much easier.
