    Does anyone know where i would find out what proper backlash is for an e30 differential?

      BMW TIS ..... maybe. Try shooting Dan at DiffsOnline an e-mail. If anybody could tell you, he will.

          the bmw tif says it can only be viewed on windows computers.. weird. bummer.

          i emailed dan at diffs online and asked him. thanks for the info.

                  dan from diffsonline says BMW has never published their specifications for backlash. he says he just goes with his personal settings which he could not share with me:???:

                      would be good to find low millage diff and take it apart and measure it....
