    Driveshaft bolts

Do the bolts (not really bolts? mine have round heads) that go through the end of the driveshaft and hold it to the differential input come off? i know the nuts do... i guess this is a stupid question since the bolt heads are round they probly dont come off.

so if not, is there an easy way to get the driveshaft towards the front of the car a few inches? it would make reinstalling my differential so much easier. thanks

No they don't come off. You'll have to wiggle it in/out of there with the CSB disconnected from the body of the car.

yeah i disconnected the CSB, but it didnt seem to make much of a difference on how much the driveshaft moves around.

I just did this last night on my 89, use a big flat head screwdriver between the end of the driveshaft and the diff flange. It will move enough forward to get it out of there.

funny you say that, i just did the exact same thing and it worked great. im actually putting the diff. back in. now its on the driveshaft bolts and ive got the two top, further back support bolts in, but i cant get the lower front ones to line up. its a pain by yourself.

Is it the season? I just put my driveshaft back on last night after a clutch job. Weird.
