    tranny output flange

is there a difference between output flanges of the early style and later style getrag 260 ? I have an 87 325 is with a stock tranny , I need to replace it due to no third gear , it has the bitch clip shifter style set up , I have another tranny that is the bolt in shifter style which must have came out of a 325e , the output flange has studs on it and my stock one did not , before I rip the tranny out and try to swap the flanges out , I want to know if it will work or if I need to get a different guibo and an eta driveshaft or can I simply swap the flanges. any help is appreciated , thanks.

You can swap the flanges. Replace the output and shifter seals at the same time.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Thanks , I wasn't sure if the inner diameter of the flanges were the same.
