    Bavauto CSB

Anyone have any comments on the quality of the CSB's shipped by BavAuto. Want to make sure they are sending me quality parts before I re-replace my csb. I think my driveshaft may be going out. But id like to know if its their CSB that went out or my driveshaft, before I put another one of their CSB's on.

A failure of the CSb is almost always caused by binding u-joints in the drive shaft. While one can replace the CSB and have short term relief, until the drive shaft is replaced no CSB will have appreciable life. Replace the CSB and drive shaft at the same time and you won't have to worry about either for another 100k or so.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I was simply wondering if anyone else on the forums had ordered CSB's from BavAuto and what their experience with using the product was. Thanks

All the CSB's are typically the same. They all typically use WorldPac parts system. You have Febi, Karlyn, and Lemforder.

You drive shaft is shot. Its 20 yrs old and been through hell. The u-joints are bound up and I am sure your flex disk is already shot as well.

The driveshaft 'floats' in the CSB. If the driveshaft is in good shape there is no stress on a CSB.

Yea its not exactly "floating" anymore, it is flailing around in the csb frame. lol, I replaced the guibo and csb about a month ago. I will be installing a "new" used driveshaft in a couple of days along with new csb. Hope this one lasts a little longer.

yeah when you put the csb on make sure its on the right way. i put mine on backwards and it ended up going out shortly after.
