e36 Short throw shifter

Anyone know if it still needs modification when running an m50 with the getrag 240?

got an e36 m3 lever in my track car. works nice.
the z4 lever works with some slight modification too. nice shorter throw.

I know the E36 m3 shifter rod fits. Feels nice too, my friend has it in his vert
