Auto no shift after replacing CSB

My daughter's 89 325i was shifting fine when the csb went out and caused vibration. I had to drop the rear tranny mount to facilitate removing the driveshaft. After reassembly, the tranny wont shift into 2nd for a block or so but once it does it shifts normally. WTF? Coinsidence or did I f something up like the linkage when I dropped it?

Not a lot of help here, it comes down to the kickdown cable but from the top at the throttle it seems to work properly. Smooth, no binding proper play. Disconnected the cable and it shifts fine. Is there something I can do to fix it?

when you loosened the tranny, it must have jarred or kinked that detent cable. Remove, inspect and clean, I guess

I followed the cable all the way between the throttle and the tranny and it seems fine. When I pull it at about 90% of the travel it clicks at the tranny, as I imagine it should.
I guess I'll just leave it off.
