    Selector Rod

    My tranny is stuck in fifth gear and the selector rod is all messed up... how do i access my selector rod? do i take the driveshaft off???????? if anyone has pictures , that'l help!!!!!!!!!!!!! so i found out my selector rod joint is missing . the pin fellout and the bushings are missings so i need another one. so after replacing my selector rod joint coupler pin. put everything back together, and now my car wont shift into reverse, first, or second. only the other gears. what the fawk.... whats wrong with my transmission. it feels like theres a metal place or something blocking me from shifting into those gears that it wont even move to the left... whats wrong someone help me out please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Drop the exhaust, heatshields. You may need to drop the driveshaft to get to the shift linkage if you have large beefy man-hands.

      If its just the selector rod you can probably get it hooked back up without dropping the driveshaft or exhaust.

        Thats right and it will be PITA. My pin on the tranny side of the rod came out when I was driving and it was stuck in 3rd. I managed to do it on the side of the road with the stock jack and my spare tire as a support in case it fell.
