Help!!! Stuck in the middle of Tranny Swap

I am in the middle of a swap from my old 1986 euro 325i to my new 1987 325is

I know 1987 was a change year for the e30 computers, with exception of e30's built prior to 9/86

I've noticed that there are two wires and connectors on the back of the bell housing towards the flywheel.....there is nothing on the 1987is engine harness to connect to the to those....my question is what are they for and are they necessary? If they are necessary, what should I do? Swap harnesses?

If they are on the front of the bell housing then they are for crank position sensors.
Those sensors are for the eta.
    Not needed on an 87is.
